CAC Technical Department: Brief History

Pastor John Adegbotoluwa, Technical Officer

The CAC technical department started as a section under administration department in 2001 under the leadership of Pastor Gideon Okegwemeh. Most importantly, he served as the former general secretary of the church. There was a need for reporting of events and monitoring of all equipment purchased by publicity staff. Therefore, a request was made by the then publicity secretary, Pastor Olajide, for the services of Pastor John Adegbotoluwa. Eventually, this led to the merging with the publicity department in 2007 bythe church authority.

As a result, the section has been in charge of the church sound system, telecommunication system, electrical and electronic appliances. In addition, the unit is to saddle the monitoring of CCTV, fire equipment, DSTV maintenance, media production.

Ultimately, one major achievement is that it generates income to the church purse. Firstly, in the area of audio cassette message production. Secondly, with metamorphosed production and sales of media materials. For example, CDs, VCDs, and DVDs.

Christ Apostolic Church authority approved the separation of technical department from the publicity department in October 2019. Ultimatley, this gave room for more improvement.

In conclusion, Pastor John Adegbotoluwa acts as the head of the department. He is assisted by Elder Muyiwa Adebanjo and Mr Oluwasogofunmi Emmanuel Alamu.
